Pop-Up Trash Can – Your New Party Superhero

Here’s a little thing I swear by for every party: a pop-up trash can. I’m sure you’ve seen them before–they’re little cloth containers that fold down from several feet tall to a little over an inch high. You’ve probably seen them at the store and thought, “Huh, that’s a good idea. Maybe I’ll get one for a camping trip or something.”

I's Why's

  • No need to drag a trash can around wherever I might need one
  • Less after-party cleanup
  • Collapses to an easily-storeable size
  • Lightweight- easy to move around and dump out

Okay, I’m telling you to get it, but not for camping. Just get it for your house. Believe me, it makes life a bit easier whenever you throw a party. Instead of lugging your trash can outside, or doing the post-party pickup, you can just put a couple of these around and call it a day. It’s really nice not to have trash cans all over your backyard all of the time—you can just pop them up when you need them. They’re also easier to dump because they’re so light.

They come in a few different sizes, so I’d recommend getting a larger one as well as a smaller one. That way, you’re ready for any size group. And, once the party’s over and you’ve dumped the remains into the trash bins, just fold them up and hide them away until the next party.

Also, there’s nothing stopping you from using them inside. When my family came over for Thanksgiving, I put one in the kitchen, directed everyone to throw their trash there, and was able to avoid having an overflowing trash can at the end of the night.

So, if you have a good amount of people at your house regularly, definitely look into investing in these guys. It’s well worth the money to avoid having to pick up the leftovers of a killer party. And if you’re in recycling mode, you can get one for cans, one for bottles and one for plastic.
