Automotive In case you haven’t noticed, I don’t tend to write about the Indiegogo or Kickstarter ideas until the company has successfully produced the item. Then I still want to see if they can go on to continue to market and sell that product and any others. That said I do look at a lot of Indiegogo and Kickstarter projects. I’ve funded plenty of them. Many of these we’ve gotten really interesting products out of, and many of them we’ve gotten burned on and lost our money. So if you explore either of those sites be aware that it is a risk. And even when it works sometimes the timing just doesn’t work properly. I's Why's Vary small; can fit three mifolds on a back seatFolds up compactly so I can fit a number of them in my trunkJust as safe as a regular booster seatLet me tell you the story of the mifold Grab-and-Go Car Booster Seat. When my son Zachary was about five years old I saw this Indiegogo campaign for the mifold Car Booster Seat. This slick little car booster seat solves some of the big problems I’ve encountered with other booster seats. The first being space, which comes up in a number of different ways.I could never put three booster seats in the back of my car. They’re just way too wide. The mifold solves that problem. They are small enough that I can easily put three of them in the back of my car.The other problem was I have one child and I always had two car seats because we carpool with another child. But what would happen when a third child was coming home for a play date or an afterschool activity? That presented a problem. The small size of the mifold solves that problem as well. When folded up it was really easy to have another one or two of these in the trunk of the car. They are also so small that you could put one in your child’s backpack so now if they were the third child going home with somebody else, they can be safely buckled into a car. This is an awesome device. The design is brilliant and the functionality is amazing. There was only one problem for us: by the time they went into production, manufactured the unit, and shipped it to us, our son was no longer sitting in booster seats and neither were most of our friends’ kids.So if you have a child that is getting ready to or is using booster seats you should absolutely look at the mifold Grab-and-Go Car Booster Seat. And as far as Kickstarter and Indiegogo campaigns go be very careful. Even though this was a good one I’ve been burned on others, and now I have a number of brand new mifold Grab-and-Go’s I need to sell.
