Ice Cube Pool Toy – Like Having A Water Park In Your Pool!

You know, pool toys are a funny thing. We’ve bought a bunch of them in the past; it’s hard to tell which ones the kids are really gonna love. Although most any pool toy is going to get some use, just by virtue of the fact the kids love to be in the water.

I remember, a few years ago, when I was looking for some cool, new pool toy to get for my son, and I read a review that impressed me. The writer said that, every summer, they had had to take their kids to the waterpark–multiple times–but that after buying this Ice Cube, they didn’t need to do that, because the kids were so happy with the cube. And I thought, how can I not try it and see what this person is talking about?

I's Why's

  • As fun as going to the waterpark
  • Comes with a patch kit
  • Why do kids love it? I still don't know
Seriously, this cube is like catnip for kids. My kid loves it, his friends love it. It’s all we can do to get them out of the pool when the cube is in the water. The Ice Cube is just an inflatable square float with large holes in every side, so kids can crawl in and out of it, no matter which side is up. That’s it. No frills, no gimmicks, just a big, inflatable cube.

For a pool toy, it’s pretty sturdy--and it comes with a patch kit! It’s advertised as having a lifespan of one summer, but we’ve had ours for two, with no problems. And our cube lives in the pool all summer long . We found a little hole in it after the first summer, but my wife it patched up, and it lasted another year.

The more life you get out of it, the less it’ll cost you overall. The usual price is about $40, which isn’t too bad for a big pool float. And believe me, you’ll get your money’s worth. While I still can’t explain why kids like it so much, they do, and you’ll be fighting to get them out of their cube.
